I’m Emma, Massage Therapist here at Cosy Hands!
I have 22 years of experience with working with new parents as a Maternity Care Assistant in a busy general hospital. I absolutely love caring for families at the start of their journey.
In 2015 I decided to study massage therapy after learning about the many benefits, both mental and physical, that it can have on our lives – and I’ve been passionate about it ever since.
As a busy mum of two, I know that being able to offer women these therapies in the ante-natal and post-natal period would help them dramatically. From teaching them strokes that would help get their bodies ready for birthing, to teaching their birth partner strokes and techniques that will help during labour.
And looking after your body is equally as important after giving birth as it is during the ante-natal period. By sufficiently allowing both our muscles and mind to relax and recover we can realise numerous benefits, such as regulating post-birth hormones and enhancing blood circulation.
By equipping you with the skills necessary to perform infant massage – an age-old tradition used in many countries around the world – you can continue with this wonderful experience that will benefit both you and your baby.
My classes offer you the chance to learn how to be able to give a full body massage to your baby safely and effectively in a friendly, relaxing environment. You will meet other parents at class and we always end every class with a chat and a cuppa.
I look forward to seeing you soon! x
